At Shelf Indulgence, we believe great books shouldn’t need a giant marketing budget to be discovered. We champion independent authors and small publishers with a simple, fair way to get real shelf (and screen) space without the hoops.

  • Offline exposure too. As we roll out pop-up shops and our physical store next year, your title can be showcased in person.
  • Simple consignment. Start with 3 copies. When they sell, we pay you minus an agreed selling commission - transparent and straightforward.
  • Flexible & author-friendly. No lock-in. Want your books back? You can remove them anytime (you just cover collection/postage). Selling well? Send more - we’ll discuss stocking a larger quantity.

How it works

  1. Say hello. Tell us about your book(s) using the contact details below.
  2. Send 3 copies. We’ll share shipping instructions once accepted.
  3. We list & promote. Professional product pages + scheduled features across our channels.
  4. You get paid. Each sale pays out to you, less the agreed commission (Normally 40% but open to negotiation)

What we accept

We welcome all genres - fiction, non-fiction, poetry, comics/graphic novels, and more (except obscene or overly adult content.) We aim to keep our catalogue welcoming and family-friendly.

What we’ll ask from you

  • Retail price (RRP) and short blurb
  • High-res cover image and author bio
  • Any relevant metadata (ISBN, format, page count)
  • Optional: endorsements, awards, or review quotes

FAQs (the quick version)

  • Fees? No listing fee. We operate on a clear selling commission agreed upfront.
  • Who sets the price? You propose the RRP; we agree it together to suit our audience.
  • Payments? We pay out after each sale cycle (details provided on approval).
  • Can I withdraw? Yes, at any time. You just cover collection/shipping.
  • Can I send more than 3? Start with 3. If demand is strong, we’ll explore increased stock.
